This Privacy Policy explains how Wardrobe AI ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards your information when you use the mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the App.
This Policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including but not limited to the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR/UK GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the UAE Federal Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), and Apple App Store Developer Policies, including its User Data and AI-Generated content policies.

Information You Provide Directly
Photos/Images:
Photos you upload or capture via camera/photo library to create your personal avatar for virtual try-on, AI styling, outfit scoring, image upscaling, and background removal.
Wardrobe Content:
Images of clothing items you add to your digital closet and outfit combinations you save.
Voice Input
Spoken queries you provide to Wardrobe AI via speech-to-text, converted into text to generate a response.
Text Input
Typed queries entered into the Wardrobe AI.
Support Communications
Information you provide when contacting support (e.g., email address, description of issue).
Information Collected Automatically
Device Information
Device model, iOS version, mobile network information.
Usage Data
Features used, session duration, interaction patterns, in-app navigation, crash logs.
Analytics Data
Anonymous, aggregated analytics used to understand app performance and improve the product.
Approximate Location
Country-level location (e.g., via device locale) used solely to display relevant regional brand listings. We do not collect precise GPS location.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not require account creation, and we do not collect your name, government ID, or precise location.
Important: Photos and voice recordings you provide are used exclusively to generate try-on previews, styling suggestions, outfit scores, upscaled images, background-removed images, and AI responses. They are not used to identify you, and are not cross-referenced with any biometric or facial-recognition database.
Permissions Used by the App
The App requests the following iOS permissions, disclosed to you via system prompts using Apple's usage description framework. Each is tied to a specific function, and you may grant or revoke them at any time via Settings → Privacy & Security on your device:
- Camera Usage: To let you take a live photo for your personal avatar or to capture wardrobe items.
- Photo Library Usage: To let you select existing photos from your library for avatar creation, wardrobe uploads, upscaling, or background removal.
- Photo Library Add Usage: To let you save generated try-on results, upscaled images, and styled looks back to your photo library.
- Microphone Usage: To let you speak queries to Wardrobe AI using speech-to-text.
- Speech Recognition: To convert your spoken queries into text so Wardrobe AI can understand and respond to them.
We request only the permissions necessary for the App's core functionality. Declining a permission may limit specific features (e.g., declining Microphone/Speech Recognition access means you can still type queries) but will not prevent you from using the App entirely.
How We Use Your Information
We use collected information to:
- Generate virtual try-on previews using your uploaded photo and selected clothing items (via our third-party try-on rendering provider)
- Produce AI-generated style suggestions and outfit compatibility scores
- Upscale images for higher-resolution try-on and wardrobe visuals
- Remove backgrounds from uploaded photos to isolate clothing items or your avatar
- Convert spoken queries into text to provide refined responses
- Classify and validate uploaded images (e.g., detecting a valid human figure/pose) to ensure quality output
- Maintain and display your saved wardrobe, outfits, and try-on history within the app
- Diagnose crashes, fix bugs, and improve app performance and stability
- Understand aggregate usage trends to guide feature development
- Respond to support requests
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions
We do not use your photos or voice recordings for advertising targeting, sell them, or use them to train facial or voice recognition/identity-verification systems.
AI-Generated Content Disclosure
Because the App relies on artificial intelligence to generate visual, conversational, and advisory content, please note:
- Virtual try-on previews, styling suggestions, outfit scores, upscaled images, and background-removed images are AI-generated and provided for inspiration and guidance only.
- Previews are simulations; actual fit, size, color, and fabric appearance in real life may differ from what is shown in the App.
- AI styling scores and recommendations are not professional fashion, medical, or psychological advice, and are intended to rate the outfit, not the user.
- AI generates responses (whether from typed or spoken input) and may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
- AI outputs may occasionally reflect limitations in the underlying model or dataset.
Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR/UK GDPR — EEA/UK Users)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Consent: for uploading photos, using voice input, and using AI try-on/styling/upscaling features (you actively initiate these actions)
- Legitimate interests: for crash reporting, analytics, and app security, balanced against your privacy rights
- Contractual necessity: to provide the core functionality you request when using the App
- Legal obligation: where required by applicable law
You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your uploaded content or discontinuing use of the App
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only in the following circumstances:
- Try-On Rendering Provider (Fitroom API): Uploaded photo, selected clothing images to generate the virtual try-on overlay
- Image Processing Providers: Uploaded photos to perform AI upscaling and background removal
- Speech-to-Text Provider: Voice recordings (converted to text, not retained as audio beyond processing) to power voice input
- Analytics & Crash Reporting Providers: Anonymous device/usage data to monitor app stability and performance
- Cloud Hosting/Storage Providers: Encrypted image and app data to securely store your content
- Law Enforcement/Regulators: As legally required to comply with valid legal requests, court orders, or to protect rights, safety, or property
All third-party processors are contractually bound to use your data only for the purpose we specify and to apply appropriate security safeguards.
Data Security & Storage
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including:
- Encryption in transit: all data transmitted between the App and our servers uses secure protocols
- Encryption at rest: uploaded photos, voice-derived text, and generated content are stored using strong encryption
- Private storage buckets: each user's content is logically isolated and accessible only through your authenticated session
- Access controls: internal access to user data is restricted to personnel who need it to operate or maintain the App
- No third-party ad access: the App does not display advertisements and does not share your photos, voice data, or wardrobe content with advertisers
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
- Uploaded photos, wardrobe items, and generated results (try-on, upscaled, background-removed) are retained for as long as your app data remains active, or until you delete them.
- Voice recordings are processed to generate text and are not retained as audio beyond what is needed to complete that conversion.
- If you uninstall the App without deleting your content first, locally stored data is removed from your device; server-side copies (if cloud sync was enabled) are retained per our retention schedule and can be deleted by contacting support.
- Anonymous analytics data may be retained in aggregate form for longer periods, as it is not linked back to an identifiable individual.
Your Rights and Choices
Access, Deletion, and Control
- Delete individual photos or generated images from your Personalized Gallery within the App
- Delete all content via Settings → Delete All Content (where available)
- Re-upload or replace your personal avatar image at any time
- Disable cloud sync to keep content stored only locally on your device
- Revoke Camera, Photo Library, Microphone, or Speech Recognition permissions via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security at any time
Regional Rights
- If you are in the EEA/UK (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, or port your data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
- If you are a California resident (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, correct inaccurate information, and opt out of the sale/sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
- If you are in the UAE or another jurisdiction with local data protection law: You may have equivalent rights of access, correction, and deletion under applicable law.

Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction, e.g., 16 in parts of the EEA) to knowingly collect personal data such as photographs or voice recordings without parental consent.
We do not knowingly collect personal information, including photos or voice data, from children under the applicable age of consent. If we become aware that a child has uploaded personal images, provided voice input, or shared other data without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information promptly. International Data Transfers
Our service providers (including cloud hosting, AI processing, and speech-to-text partners) may be located in other countries, including the United States and EU/EEA member states. This means your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside your country of residence.
Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), adequacy decisions, or equivalent legal mechanisms, to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection regardless of where it is processed.
Advertising & App Tracking Transparency
The App does not display third-party advertisements and does not use any advertising SDKs or cross-app tracking technologies. Accordingly, the App does not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, as no tracking occurs.
If this changes in a future update, this Privacy Policy will be revised accordingly, and any required permissions will be disclosed at that time.
Third-Party Links and Services
The App allows you to browse brand websites via an in-app WebView (Brand List feature). These third-party sites are operated independently and are governed by their own privacy policies and terms. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or security of third-party brand websites. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any information on those sites.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or app features. Material changes will be communicated via an in-app notice or update to the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
Data Deletion Request
In compliance with Apple's App Store guidelines and applicable data protection law, users may request deletion of their data without needing to uninstall the App:
- In-App: Settings → Delete All Content
- Via Email: Send a deletion request to [email protected] with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will confirm and process deletion requests within 30 days.
